Principal’s Message

Frangus Elementary Principal

Greetings Jazz Family,

Thank you for choosing Frangus Elementary – where We are JAZZed about Learning!

I am excited to be joining the Jazz Family as your new Principal! My name is Wendy Wolfe and I have worked for OCPS for 26 years as a classroom teacher, coach and administrator. I am happy to be returning to my roots in this area – I grew up in Pine Hills and attended Pine Hills Elementary, Carver Middle and Evans High School.

My focus is on making sure that ALL stakeholders feel Safe, Supported and Celebrated at Frangus Elementary. It is important that we maintain a safe environment for our students and staff so they can focus on learing. Supporting our students looks different for each student, if there is something we can do better to support your child, please do not hesitate to reach out. Celebrating growth is one of my favorite things to do! At Frangus, we will have big and small celebrations throughout the school year. We can do wonderful things together and I look forward to seeing our students succeed each and every day!

You are an important part of the puzzle for student success. You are your child’s first and most important teacher. The lessons you teach your child at home from how to treat others to instilling the belief that some things may be hard, but that even hard things can be done build the foundation for success.

We are partners in your child’s educatonal journey. Frequent communication is key to keeping everyone on the same page. The more your child sees you care about their school day, the more they will care. I encourage you to be an active part of the school community. If you are interested in volunteering at the school, please take the time to sign up as an ADDition volunteer.  If you are not able to come into the school to volunteer, simply reading with your child and checking to be sure homework is being completed will make a huge difference.

Being involved in the School Advisory Committee or PTA will provide many opportunities for your voice to be heard and impact our students.

I appreciate everything you do to support your child and our Jazz family! I hope to see you at one of our school events soon!

Loving your child,

Mrs. Wolfe
